Norton Sales and Brand Specialist

Norton Motorcycles is a rapidly expanding dynamic business and we are looking for an experienced Sales Person and Brand Ambassador for our UK Sales & Service Experience Centre based at Donington Hall.

The successful applicant should be highly organised, conscientious, be able to plan and prioritise their work and possess excellent communication skills.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritise workload whilst communicating efficiently and effectively with all Norton personnel
  • Deal with all sales enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Keep accurate records for all customers and data management
  • Prepare customer sales quotations, orders and queries
  • Co-ordinate Norton sales stock (new and used) and posting all sales stock via on-line platforms
  • Experience in managing all documentation regarding the sale of on road motorcycles and have a clear understanding of consumer finance products
  • An understanding of the motorcycle industry, competitive motorcycle marques, used bike values and trade in motorcycle appraisal
  • Liaise with customers for all sales and test ride enquiries
  • Support Norton service, warranty and maintenance departments
  • Have a passion for the Norton Motorcycle brand, history and products
  • Retail customer facing and host Norton Factory Tours
  • Sales in Accessories, Factory Customising, Parts and Garments/Merchandise
  • Support and assist in the co-ordination of all Norton events where necessary
  • Be able to work towards, and exceed, targets and goals
  • Flexible working hours with some weekend/evening work

Essential qualities and requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Catalyst)
  • Be highly motivated, organised and demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate initiative, a positive attitude and integrity
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
  • Full car and motorcycle license essential

Senior Buyer/ Buyer

Norton Motorcycles, one of the worlds must iconic Motorcycle brands is expanding its production capabilities, at its Manufacturing Facility in Castle Donington. Our Business is expected to grow significantly over the next 10 years as demand for our existing Quality Motorcycle range increases and our new V4 Superbike is introduced into the market.

We are now looking to recruit several Senior Buyers/ Buyers to be based at our headquarters at Donington Hall. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment for one of the most passionate and exciting names in the Motorcycling industry.  

Working with the existing Purchasing Team you will form part of driving the purchasing function forward to ensure there is a robust and committed supply chain.

The successful person would need to be an experienced Buyer with a track record of delivery within manufacturing/engineering/automotive industries. You should be able to demonstrate examples of cost reduction through both direct negotiation and working strategically with suppliers to find mutually beneficial cost-downs. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring there are always sufficient components in stock to satisfy the demands of production
  • Optimising stock levels
  • Expediting purchase orders to ensure deliveries are on time and in full
  • Participating in the development of purchasing specifications for material, components or products
  • Evaluate cost data and quotation analysis and cost reduction opportunities
  • Identify supplier risk and develop robust risk mitigation strategies to counter these
  • Developing strong commercial relationship with all suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s quality and environmental standards.

Essential skill requirements:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently with Design and Manufacturing colleagues in addition to external suppliers and other Buyers.
  • Good negotiation, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to apply logical reasoning to situations and strong organisational skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Strong numerical, verbal and written skills and experience of concise and accurate report writing.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The flexibility to travel worldwide for supplier visits.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred and you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage purchase of raw material requirements of a manufacturing business.

Salary package is dependent upon previous experience.

Engine Build

Norton Motorcycles, one of the worlds must iconic Motorcycle brands is expanding its production capabilities, at its Manufacturing Facility based at Donington Hall.

Our Business is expected to grow significantly over the next 3 years as demand for our existing range and new and exciting V4 Bike increases daily.

Must have good knowledge of 4 stroke engines and be practically minded along with being able to understand instructions, working from drawings and assembly manuals.  Have an understanding of measuring equipment such as verniers and bore micrometers.

Skills Required

  • Experience in building engines
  • Preparation of raw engine parts
  • Good use of hand tools
  • Good understanding of 4 stroke engines
  • Able to read drawings and manuals
  • Be methodical in assembly
  • Good eye for detail

Security Guard

Norton Motorcycles, one of the worlds must iconic Motorcycle brands is expanding its’ production capabilities, at its’ Manufacturing Facility in Castle Donington. Our Business is expected to grow significantly over the next 10 years as demand for our existing Quality Motorcycle range increases and our new V4 Superbike is introduced into the market.

We are now looking to recruit an additional Security Officer, predominantly to work  weekends, but also some weekday overlap will be required and will be based at our headquarters at Donington Hall.

 

We are Looking for a motivated individual who can work as part of a team and on their own.  Duties are to include carrying out patrols, security checks, along with intervention skills and to be able to manage any issues that may arise.

Complementing our 24-hour Security, we are looking for someone to work weekends and cover holidays.  Hourly rate £10.00

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of staff and customers within working environment
  • Act as a visual deterrent
  • Liaising with police and other emergency services
  • Report writing
  • Internal/external patrols

Requirements:

  • A full UK driving licence and access to own transport is essential
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to work CCTV

  • Previous security experience essential
